RESEARCH
I am an experienced research consultant specialising in music, health, and equality. My work spans topics including discrimination in the music sector, indoor air quality, and viral transmission. My approach is always grounded in a commitment to making music workplaces safer, healthier, and more equitable.
I have led research projects for organisations such as the Independent Society of Musicians, Lancashire Music Service, and the Royal Northern College of Music. My reports have been cited in national and international media, scholarly journals, and policy briefings. Drawing on rigorous research methods and deep sector knowledge, my consultancy delivers practical, evidence-based insights that shape policy and practice.
I hold a PhD in Music from the University of Huddersfield, where I was supervised by Philip Thomas and Aaron Cassidy.
I’m currently available for new projects and collaborations. Please get in touch to discuss how I can support your next research, evaluation, or policy initiative.
